At ToneProof, LLC (“ToneProof,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), your privacy matters. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. This Policy applies to our websites (including toneproof.com and toneproof.ai), pilot waitlist forms, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

1) Information We Collect

Information you provide: name, email address, role (e.g., Musician, Music Shop, Luthier), and any message you submit through forms (e.g., pilot sign‑up).
Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps, collected via standard web logs and analytics.
Cookies and similar technologies: limited cookies may be used for performance, security, and to remember basic preferences.

2) How We Use Information

To register your interest in the ToneProof pilot and communicate updates, invitations, and product information.
To operate, secure, and improve the Services, including troubleshooting and analytics.
To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

3) Legal Bases (EEA/UK)

If you are in the EEA/UK, we process personal data under these bases: (i) consent (e.g., pilot communications), (ii) legitimate interests (e.g., site security, improvement), and (iii) legal obligation where applicable.

4) How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Services, under contracts that limit their use:

Form processing: services such as Formspree (for handling form submissions).
Hosting & delivery: platforms such as Cloudflare Pages/Workers and similar providers that deliver our websites securely and at speed.
Analytics & security: basic site metrics and security tooling.

We may also share information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transaction (e.g., merger or acquisition).

5) Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described above (e.g., during the pilot program) and to comply with legal obligations. When no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de‑identify data.

6) Your Choices & Rights

Opt‑out: You can opt out of pilot emails at any time by replying “unsubscribe” or using provided links.
Access/Deletion: You may request access, correction, or deletion of your information by contacting us.
EEA/UK: You may have additional rights (e.g., data portability, restriction, objection) and the right to complain to your local authority.
California (CPRA): California residents may request disclosure or deletion of personal information, and opt out of “sharing” for cross‑context behavioral advertising (we do not sell personal information).

7) International Transfers

We may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross‑border data transfers.

8) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9) Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in these age groups.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be posted on this page.
